I am a PhD student in the Joint Bioengineering program at UC Berkeley and UCSF, advised by Prof. Loren Frank (UCSF). I study how the brain extracts relational structures from prior experiences. My first paper on mental simulation is here. During my graduate school, I have also interned at Basis Research Institute working on graph neural networks. I am interning in the summer of 2026 at Blackrock Neurotech as a software engineer on real-time systems. Prior to grad school, I was fortunate enough to have worked with Prof. Michale Fee and Emily Mackevicius at MIT on songbird learning where I developed an algorithm for tracking the same neuron across days in optical data. While living in San Francisco, breathing in the fog, I often wake up from melodies in my dream. These melodies are made into songs under the Fiasco Florists project.
Music written and produced by me.
